Tenuta Casa Cima
Some Places Stay With Us
There are places we return to for their beauty. And there are places we return to because a part of our own story lives there.
Tenuta Casa Cima in Ticino has always been one of those places for us. Over the years, its terraces and tables have witnessed so many gatherings, celebrations, conversations and moments of friendship.
Returning here in October 2026, this time simply as guests among dear friends, felt both familiar and new. The setting was beautiful, of course. But what made the occasion truly meaningful was everything this place has come to represent.
Friendship Beyond the Years
Our connection to Casa Cima began through our dear friend Marcel Dick. We shared a friendship spanning more than 25 years, and many wonderful evenings around this very table.
The Table We Remember
Marcel was not simply someone connected to a place or an organisation. He was a close friend, someone who became part of our extended family and with whom we shared countless happy occasions.
After his passing in 2020, I became involved with the Fondazione Kaspar e Sophie Spörri as vice-president. That chapter of our active involvement has now come to an end, but our personal connection to Casa Cima remains.
On this October evening, we raised our glasses to Marcel. We remembered the laughter, the celebrations and the many beautiful times we had shared here. It was a quiet, heartfelt tribute — not a formal occasion, but a gathering of friends.
A Beautiful Evening Together
A table prepared with care. Familiar faces. Good food. And that wonderful feeling of having time for one another.
Where Memories Meet
For our gathering, we enjoyed a menu of creamy mushroom soup, traditional German beef roulades and Ticinese polenta.
Yet, as so often, the real pleasure was not only what was served, but the atmosphere around the table.
Conversations unfolded, stories were shared, and old memories found their way naturally into new ones.
And at this very table, where we had celebrated so many wonderful occasions with Marcel, we raised our glasses to friendship and the memories that stay with us.
Creating Moments to Remember
For us, bringing people together has always meant more than organising a dinner.
It is about the details that make people feel welcome: a thoughtful table setting, a relaxed atmosphere, the right balance between celebration and intimacy — and, above all, the joy of sharing time together.
This same spirit lies at the heart of Sensory Resonance · by S & A. Alongside curated journeys, cultural experiences and hosted events, we also envision intimate private dining experiences and bespoke gatherings — thoughtfully created around people, places and atmosphere.
Our evening at Tenuta Casa Cima was a private celebration among friends, not a bookable event. Yet it beautifully reflects the kind of experience we love to create: a special setting, a welcoming table, thoughtful details and genuine connections.
Sometimes the most unforgettable journeys happen around a table. Not simply organising events — creating moments to remember.
Breakfast, Light & Quiet Moments
After an evening filled with conversation and memories, the following morning offered another side of Casa Cima: a slower rhythm, a beautifully prepared breakfast and the quiet pleasure of simply being there.
Whether indoors or outside beneath the pergola, these are the small details that give a place its character — and make a visit feel personal.
Earlier Chapters at Casa Cima
Some photographs carry us back to earlier chapters. Looking through our archive reminds us how long this special place has been part of our lives — and how many people and occasions are connected to it.
These images belong to the story of Casa Cima as we have known it over the years. They are a bridge between past and present, between cherished memories and the moments still to come.
Until We Meet Again
Although our official role with the Fondazione has ended, the friendships and memories connected to Casa Cima have not. We hope to return once a year with friends, to gather around this table and continue a tradition in our own personal way.
Not to recreate the past, but to honour it — while making room for new stories, new laughter and new moments to remember.
That, perhaps, is the most beautiful way to keep a memory alive.
