Venice, Between Moments

Photographed in September 2020, during the quiet months of the pandemic, when Venice had fallen almost completely still. Streets, squares and canals normally filled with visitors were nearly empty, revealing a rare and intimate side of the city — shaped by silence, solitude and fleeting human presence.

The Series

Moments inside the silence.

Away from the familiar image of Venice, small gestures, passages and quiet encounters became the story.

Between the moments.

Beyond the individual works, there were glimpses of everyday Venice — a gondolier at rest, the Grand Canal beneath an open sky, and a city slowly moving through an extraordinary moment in time.

Les Voyageurs

A Photographic Study · Bruno Catalano

First encountered in Venice, Bruno Catalano’s fragmented travellers explore absence, movement and the invisible parts of ourselves we carry from one place to another. Photographed later within a private collection in Zurich, this intimate study observes the sculptures away from the gallery space — as objects of presence, memory and departure.

Cherish Nature

In the Sihlwald, nature is given the rare freedom to follow its own rhythm. For me, its beauty lies in precisely that — a landscape allowed to grow, change and simply be.
